Actually, I think Youmu is supposed to be a woman (more specifically, the Yuyuko person's wife). Main evidence was her apparently handling Yuyuko's finances in an earlier arc. Keep in mind that in Japan, it's traditionally the wife who does that.

I thought she was Yuyuko's editor. But wife makes at least as much sense. Probably more with them sightseeing together.

I thought she (Youmu) was Yuyuko's editor or aide/secretary. And pretty much everyone else in this strip seems to be male with the exception of Sanae and Yamame (who were identified as female artists). Chen is a son or daughter, and we don't know if Ran is Yukari's husband or wife. But given the dialog when. Sanae and Nazrin went off on a trip to a con together once, we know Nazrin is almost certainly a guy.

I think it's possible she was Yuyuko's secretary. And I think Yuyuko is something like Owner of Company/manager.
She have been offer kogasa & sanae to draw Original work for her before (trade with food). = book connection? maybe work at magazine company or advertise company?
