I haven't had the opportunity to play it yet, but if it's anything like the first game, that's probably just a random NPC that got pulled along for the ride.

Someone named Shishii (no idea if there's a different name in localization) that the artist apparently likes. The commentary in the parent implies she has a backstory to the point she's not just a rando villager.
