Of course, you have to do at least the same number of drilling to make the rivet holes, usually two drilling for each since you don't want to drill thru two layers of massive steel plates.

Ohh, now it makes more sense. That carpenter drill is also called drill. For some reason i always associate word "drill" with giant drill from several super robot anime. Having different word for drill for your native language is also not helpful.
