Most Japanese women try and get married right out of high school. The Christmas cake meme is alive and well in Japan for a reason.

They've been trying to change the minimum age to 18 for a while now, not that anyone ever gets married at 16 or 17.

The common ages of marriage is 25~29, actually. Even years ago when marrying out of high school was more common.

A demographic for it seems to exist though, but it's actually more of a hot teacher fantasy kinda thing. There seems to be at least 3 different manga where the main theme is "I'm a 16-17 year old married to her super hot teacher".
