    Hibiki-sensei: Gedō

    I was going to give her Bep's fishing uniform, but this is supposed to be Hibiki-sensei and she'll be Bep instead of Hibiki if I give her the whole outfit, so I felt, which is I swapped out only the hat for Hibiki's.

    For reference, Nisshin is calling Hoppo a fiend ("gedou", lit. outer path [i.e. "heretic"] from Buddhist terminology, but can also be used as an insult meaning fiend, devil, brute, monster, etc. Basically an immoral person) for attacking her. Hoppo doesn't understand the word, so Hibiki-sensei chimes in with an explanation... except she defines it according to the angler/sport-fisherman slang meaning of "gedou", meaning "bycatch".

    The only thing I can come up with right now involves Nisshin calling Hoppo a monster or behemoth, and Hibiki explaining the (more) literal meaning of the word in reference to the size of the fish she caught... but that would require deviating too much (30~40%) from the source material.

    I took a look, but the big problem is that "bycatch" doesn't have many synonyms. All I can find is something like "discard".

    The closest thing to a pun would be going for something like "bake kujira" -> "bycatch"... which is kind of a stretch.

    In a case like this, it's probably better to just leave it a translation note.
