I can't decide if I want a full 3D GFL game to be this kind of XCOM looking thing or like a Third Person Shooter action thing.

The Division style gameplay might suit a 3D GFL.

What about like Vanquish perhaps?

Well, GTA style is far from ideal, Vanquish relies on a supercharged suit worn by a man with many PhDs, so, probably XCOM or The Division, although a The Order 1886 style, with a Full cinematic view camera would've been nice.
