Ah, yes. I recall this sort of thing from back in the '90s. We'd set Photoshop to do a CMYK conversion on a page, and then we could basically break for lunch while it converted that single image. (Thankfully, I don't recall ever coming back to an error message.)

My favorite is when the error happens because the computer went to sleep because whatever process it is that takes two hours forgets to disable that function.

That's why I set sleep mode and screensaver timings to "never".
If I ever need to leave PC running for a long time, I just turn off the display myself.
