Can't she just push up on one side, to make the weights fall down? It'll be dangerous and she might fall down entirely, but better than getting crushed.

Unpinned weights are recommended for sole lifting since you can dump them and get the bar off you. though that's it's own set of dangers.

I just saw someone with an injury from doing this. It is NOT pretty at all. It’s rather gruesome
