A recent change to the pity system that made it a lot less generous.
See blue archive gacha update and comment #2618200 for more details.
The Hoyo pity system is so ass. Sure, you're guaranteed your character of choice earlier (in theory), since Hoyo games themselves guarantee a five star at 90 pulls, thus needing 180 at most, and pity carries over between banners, but sparking is still better overall because it isn't affected by the results of your pulls.
You could get the mythical double five star pull and you would still keep building pity towards a different character.
Just because Hoyo gets away with it doesn't mean other companies have to copy it, see OG Arknights vs Endfield.
And the devs actually changing the system for an existing game is not only scummy beyond belief, it also sets a terrible precedent for other companies to follow.
Hopefully the backlash will be enough to unfuck the situation.

Considering who is now leading the charge for the company trying to increase their bottom line?
I'm very doubtful they'll listen.
OG Nexon might balk under the backlash but an EA CEO?
They'll just double down on it.
Great example of rather than just increasing your bottom line you wind up destroying it.

And then there's Fate/Go. What it is now, something like 351 pulls before your guarantee? And there's 0 guarantee for 4*.
There are some that are thankfully kind to their players and can even be successfully played F2P but yeah most get blinded by that greed.

Wait, how are they swimming? Aren't they supposed to weigh a whole lot? Wouldn't they sink like a rock?
The game basically completely abandoned consistency with this a year ago - Rosanna's summer alt is explicitly described as a swim body (presumably much lighter), and it's an explicit conflict point that Viper, who is also participating in the event, does not get that privilege. But then others just swim unexplained - even outside of the cutscene, we see Mori, who DEFINITELY does not have an alternate body available, doing so no problem.
Given how many Nikkes you can be implied to have sex with who are stated in like Chapter 2 to be heavy enough that they'd crush you... Trust me, don't think about it.

This.
They made this a point during the first two summer events which is why none of the girls except Helm actually went out to swim. It was as said, reinforced during the 3rd event. But then just went nvm screw that.
As for snu snu, they would only crush him in specfic positions. There are plenty of ways for them to have sex without the girls' body weight to be a problem, they also have non-combat bodies that are, like the swim body, far lighter than their combat bodies. And as early as chapter 2-3 we had a scene with Yuni sleeping on top of him without harming him (until she tried to bear hug him) and that was before he took more active role so current commander is a beast of a human.

The more I **TRY** to read the comment, the less I get what is it supposed to tell so uh...
Also Hikari and Nozomi really have put Justine and Caroline from Persona 5 into the jail of forgotten past similar characters.

The pic says "I will now be performatively horny about these GAKI", and (whether this line was made in jest or not) I made a reply about how no one can ever be performatively horny about gaki characters (and by extension, loli characters).
I thought this was that Ghost of Tsushima old man for a moment
Fhtagn said in comment #2588347:

I feel like "Uuoooh, correction! 😭" and stuff are too big to not have anyone performative. They might like loli, but not to the level that might imply.
About why, maybe some just want to feel like they're in the same circle and conform, like laughing at some not-that-funny jokes when others around you seem to really like them?
Fhtagn said in comment #2588347:
Regardless of this artist's actual position in this whole thing,
You can't be performatively horny about lolis. Ever. Not in
current_year, not in the near nor far future by the looks of things (I'd be very amazed to be proven wrong on this), not before covid brought in the worst of the worst group of people into anime/manga discourse, and certainly not in the 2000s when there was little to no point in being performative on the internet about anything anyways. And not even in "the mystical land of Far-Eastern Gacha Slop", where some JP feminists (aka ツイフェミ) have become increasingly louder and louder and would throw pedophilia accusations around just as any random English-speaking xitter users would, like they're mere playground insults (well they are now unfortunately). Where every
weekday that very "mystical land" keeps getting called Diddy/Epstein island because of loli characters, the actual nationalities of the aforementioned two individuals notwithstanding.Hell, even this very site isn't exactly immune to it.
Yeah sure some people would call you safe horny or whatever if you're into "dommy-mommy-please-break-my-pelvis" or whatever, but those are negligible at best, and annoying at worst. You'd have to kid yourself if you think being called that is in any way comparable to saying openly that you're into loli, even performatively (again, if that's even a thing).
What happened during covid?

Normies took one look at the anime community and decided that loli stuff must be removed. Probably due to whiplash, insecurity, and fear of association.
Did Lyra finally join Team Rocket or something? What's with all the evil pictures of her? She wears the uniform in Pokemon Masters but that was years ago.

Context: Blue Archive used to have a 200-pull spark system, but it is now changed to a Hoyo-style 50/50 pity system.
100 pulls now gives you a 50% chance to get the featured 3-star character. If you lose the 50/50, you are guaranteed the featured character at 200 pulls.
The issue is that pity resets to 0 once you get any of the featured characters from any other banner. So if you got the student at 190 pulls, you cannot use the 190 pulls to spark another character because it gets set to 0. This change is only good for pulling a single character from a banner, but it is very bad if you want to pull multiple characters in a banner.

I don’t play Blue Archive, so it took me a bit to understand. Closest approximation I personally have is the spark system from Fire Emblem Heroes. So yeah, I can totally get how frustrating it would be having your spark points set back to 0 if you get a featured character via pure luck.

I will have utmost respect to the BA community if they keep showing spine here instead of reverting to total gooners after one week again. Which is happening already. Nevermind.

Oh, fucking lovely. Just when I started to get back into the game again.
I remember when Umamusume's global server first opened, I wished its gacha was more like BA's. They've since raised its regular Carat (Pyroxene) rewards, and given you the ability to grind for character's Star Pieces (Eleph). All they have to do now is merge more banners together so they have a shared pity system and we'll have gone full-circle.
How the tables turn.

Ouch, that is just plain disgusting. Makes me glad that at least SD Gundam G Gen Eternal has a relatively forgiving gacha system (guaranteed a UR unit/supporter at 100 rolls for new banners, with the ability to manually select one of the featured units for 200 points or the supporter for 300).
