"The Cylon Basestar is the ultimate Kanmusu in terms of a battleship carrier hybrid. Sleek in design and able to chase down colonial BattleStars with ease. The Basestar carries 792 Cylon raiders along with heavy raiders, carries conventional and nuclear missiles and lacks any point defence systems. The Cylon Basestar is able to recover faster than any Kanmusu after a battle without the need for a dry dock.
Only one Basestar had survived the ambush when the loyalist cylons had the jump on the revolutionists. The human Kanmusu’s found the Basestar left for dead so under the orders of Admiral Baltar, the Basestar was nurtured to health. Eventually the rebel Cylon Basestar becomes part of the Kanmusu fleet which left the other ship girls uneasy with her presence."
