Usually when you used too much originium or clogged lines makes the battery farm fail.

Open the ESC menu and then click on the AIC overview, there you can find out how much resources produced by your factory versus how much it consumes.

Normally (and at the best scenario) the ratio should be 1/1 but if your consumption is greater than production, especially on power generating items such as Originium or Battery due to clogged lines you can have 'downtimes' that will eventually drain your reserve power and if that happen continuously the factory will stop until you provided fresh source of power.
