Even though these illustrations are titled "sword girls" on this artist's deviantart, they're also titled "sword practice" on the pixiv account, where there are also comments such as, "long ways to go until i am good at drawing swords T_T," and "this sword, is really really bad D:," which lead me to believe that these are really images of, literally, girls with swords. The illustration style is also clearly lacking the polished appearance of most sword girls cards. In addition.. after taking a look at his profiles across sources.. I believe that this artist might not even be familiar with Sword_Girls anyway.
