This is Melvina Vidya Advani (who also goes by "Mel").
Guess what series she's from! That's right, she's a character from the KimiIta series.

Also, I never call them "brollys". I always say "umbrella". But, she's Australian, so perhaps she might call them brollys.

Melvina is first introduced in Muv Luv Chronicles vol. 1 in the "Unlimited: The Day After" timeline.

She's also going to be getting her own game soon called "Melvina Maniax" which is about her and Wilbert (the male character in Chronicles vol. 1) in the peaceful timeline without the BETA. That's what this picture is about (which is why it's in the folder it is over at the Agesoft-VNs group).

It took me FOREVER to figure out her name when I first played Chronicles. I heard "Meruvina", but I thought there's no way that's her name. After looking at the official Agesoft website, it turned out that yes, that was her name. I looked up the name on google, and, to my surprised, it turned out to be of Scottish origin! But I'd never heard it before in my life!
I'm kinda convinced at this point that this is my favourite designed character so far in this series. I've had difficulty pinpointing which KimiIta character was my favourite, though most of the time it is between Mikoto and Sumika, and every now-and-again, I find myself putting Jouji up there because of how much his absurdity makes me smile. But, once Mel gets more screentime in Melvina Maniax and we get to see more of her personality, she could become my new favourite. From what I saw of her in Chronicles v. 1, she's a really likeable and adorable character, even though I dont really agree with her assessments of the main two characters, Will and Lilia. I'm not going to spoil anything, but there's a point where Will and Lilia are arguing, and Mel, interacting with Will after Lilia leaves, claims that the two of them have the same end-goal and are just going about it in different ways without considering the other's point of view. The remainder of the arc in the story tries to make that the case, but in my opinion, what Will was arguing for was objectively correct where-as Lilia was objectively wrong. The story even admits that, though it kind of pushes it under the rug and just ignores it, moving onto a different topic as if that topic was what they were arguing about the whole time, which wasn't the case. It's hard to explain it without using specifics, but if you read it, it'll make sense (I hope). Regardless, Mel is a great character. I'm super excited for MelMani.

In other news, Resistance 3 came out today in Japan and Australia, and is coming out tomorrow in Europe! I find it funny how it lists the US, Japan, and Australia individually, but lists Europe as a whole. I know Australia is considered a continent as well, but it is a single country.

As a side note, the entire time I was drawing this, I was listening to One F Jef's let's play of "IL-2: The Great Crusade". Strangely enough, I have a lot more patience while listening to his voice (and L0rdVega's voice).
