yae (ganbare goemon) drawn by wing_yun_man

Artist's commentary

  • Original
  • Lady Ninja Yae

This is for ~Kunou's contest~ Yae has always been my favourite female character ever, so here's my rendition of her drawn in my own personal style, from the game 'Ganbare Goemon: Toukai Douchuu Daiedo Tenguri' (or just Goemon DS for short)

Originally I intended to draw Yae in the original chibi style, but since I need practice drawing poses and anatomy, I went for the regular body proportions instead.

The kanji reads 'onna ninja Yae'. I'm aware 'kunoichi' is the actual term for female ninja, but I used kanji for a better visual effect. I'm no typography expert, but kanji does look cool. Also the idea of the title was based on a Japanese Yu-Gi-Oh! card which features Yae.
