[ART] With Strength
With strength, I will be the inescapable future
I didn't really do much for Pride Month this year. Celebrations in Vancouver are at the start of August anyway and with every year that passes, my desire to stop thinking about my existence as something that needs to be justified (or even thought about at all) outgrows my urge to be vulnerable and extroverted. I'm fortunate to live somewhere that affords me the privilege to deal with that in whatever ways I deem best, but the reality that this differs even just a handful of kilometers south is not lost on me. In the end, none of us are going away, I would just like to get to the finish line a lot faster than it's currently taking.
I was noodling with a sketch this week that didn't take very long for me to form a pretty specific direction. Whatever waits us in the future, I know we'll be there. I will, at least. I hope you are too.
