But he is pointing to something behind him with his right arm, and resting the left one on the throne. That's impossible unless his arm is on backwards (he literally has two left arms), and looks really awkward. Which is a shame, because the rest of the image is great.
I think you're seeing Doom as being turned towards the viewer, instead of mostly parallel to chrisg? Or the rock he's leaning his arm on.

No I mean, he's not turned towards us, but a bit away - it's just since his shoulder is obscured by the cloak it's hard to tell.
