brave the hard (neptune and 1 more) drawn by isaki_tanaka

I gotta say that the idea for my human rendition of CFW Brave wearing a Monster Hunter-inspired set of armor was one that's been lingering in my head like an annoying itch until I actually got around to putting it on paper--a little more than two months ago. This drawing basically just sat around my sketchbook for a while until I inked it around 18 days later, and then colored it a little more than a month after that. Life got in the way and stuff. :C

Anyway, while I had my doubts about it at first, I'm actually glad with how this eventually turned out. A lot of thought was put into its design, and I'm just happy that all that tough work was worth it. :) Now I can do stuff with this guy! :la:

While this was indeed finished almost a whole month ago, I wanted to wait until I had finished other illustrations that would go with it before I would finally upload this; but what I consider to be the highlight among the trio of illustrations I worked on is very close to completion, so I've decided to finally put this up for the rest of you to see. :D

p.s. the guy with the SnS set didn't really make it into the final illustration. I just put him there for a sense of scale since I wanted somebody else to go with the big monster. Uni (goodness gracious she's so fukkin' tiny here) in Nargacuga armor is a lot more interesting than a random faceless dude anyway, so I guess it's alright for the little guy to go. :P
