While it's true that the full weight of the ship would produce densities found nowhere in nature outside of stellar objects, at the same time they could still be very heavy for their size by simply positing that their bodies are made largely of metal (not a huge stretch). An average sized human has a volume of something like .07 cubic meters, if they were made of steel/iron that would give you a weight of about 1200 pounds. Further, fairly logically, assuming that they're not actually just a solid block of metal but have air gaps and lighter material mixed in to their body like a ship would could yield a weight that would still be well into "back straining" but well short of "instantly shatter the admiral's hip bones" level.

Even if the shipgirls were mostly flesh, the "superhuman strength" MarqFJA87 mentioned would require an OBSCENE level of muscle density, to the point they'd effectively be made of steel regardless.

Now, if you theorized that the muscles were made of braided rebar, THEN you'd have been over thinking it.
