Since I am not included in that many person, I am glad the game that I played can be more modest. Though I still think the dev should let the player choose their loading screen.

You do realize not everybody like to complain everything that they don't like? I personally think the onsen ia actually lewder than this, but I just don't want to complain everything that i don't like 24x7. It just seems like a waste of energy.

And also remember, though booru is mostly image archiever(?), there are several people that go here just to read translated web comic and don't want to do with anything lewd. remember what making the booru good is not only the lewd image, but also superior tagging system.

I only stated some facts while raising some questions (which never got answered because downvoting is just easier), nothing more. I do not think the way I wrote my post was offensive.

Yes, EN Devs should have used this as a reason why the fanart is removed in the first place, not some people complaining about lewd arts. I personally disagree that AL needs to be modest, there are lot of skins and loading screens that are not safe to play in public yet people don't complain about them. In ALO discord, there is a strict about nudity and lewds but you might wonder why they allowed this to pass into voting.

Goldsaw's been an advocate for needlessly over sexulizing the ships.

Can’t say I’m a fan of them removing art like this because of a few complaints that would have rolled right off of them.
In fact, the reason I chose this game over others was, ironically now, due to the lack of censorship.
When compared to other loading screens, this one isn’t anything shocking or even all that much of a departure from preexisting load screens; it just seems awfully silly to single this one in particular out.

As for those that didn’t like it, I can almost guarantee that there will be multiple loading screens you won’t like at any given time, because the variation in content and art style in these screens is generally very diverse.
So, making the argument that this was done at the behest of the players is generally misleading and foolish since, as we can see now, a fair number of people liked the screen.
An additional point to be made, as was alluded to in the first of this paragraph, is that the screens are rotated on a regular basis anyway, so we would have only seen this up until, perhaps, December.

At the end of the day, I’m somewhat disappointed in the decision to remove this art over a few complaints, as it sets an unfortunate precedent and was really just a pointless move in my eyes.
On a stringently related tangent, I’m even more disappointed that the game uses MST now, as opposed to PST; really makes me ree.
And as for my final conclusion, Epstein didn’t kill himself.

People bitch about stuff all the time, doesn't mean it's worth listening to. And when they removed it, they should have kept silent, but no, they had to put out an insincere apology, that only made it worse.

And it's still not entirely clear what exactly happened. Officially, it's because of complaints that it makes it inconvenient to play in public (which is utterly ridiculously, considering there are similar screens that are still in the game). Some say that the artist paid votes and just wanted to "trigger" people, and that's the real reason it got removed, but both claims were never really confirmed. And it'd make his apology pretty weird. But then, it looks just as insincere as the devs' one.

And now, some are worried that it might set a precedent and it might mean censorship in the future. Whether that's the case or not remains to be seen. If the reason the devs give for the removal is true, then it sets a pretty bad precedent. And shows that they have no backbone whatsoever. But it might just turn out to be a whole lot of nothing and have no effect in the future.

Ultimately, only two things are certain: The devs are morons who have no idea how to react to controversy and the artist is a dumb asshole, who doesn't deserve the support he's begging for.
