I've got scars from a dog scratching me. If I tried to put one in a leglock like this girl has, he'd probably leave a few more.

She has been suffering from severe depression or maybe has abusive parents as well... considering that she doesn't have bruises I guess it is that kind of abusive. Or she could have been cutting herself to get attention, which is quite possible in her case I guess?

She hides her cuts, not to mention she's already quite popular with a fair degree of social clout. Doing it for attention seems pretty unlikely.
