But 3rd Wheeling (the pool at least) is exactly when you don’t want anything to do with the sexual activity (or more specifically, trying to focus on normal activities, in this case sleeping) but are near and aware of such activity. This picture fits the pool perfectly. Whether or not the person who is being bothered by such activities is related to the people conducting the activities or has a say does not matter.
