I kinda have some sort of wrong impressions.
The first ever Gundam series I watched was Gundam Wing.

And by comparison, it's one of the kindest Gundam series ever.

I think the ones people are thinking about are the ones made by Yoshiyuki "Kill 'Em All" Tomino.

Tomino's gundams aren't the only ones with high body counts, Thunderbolt and IBO are pretty brutal too.
