OU is a Japanese adventure game currently in development by G-MODE in collaboration with ROOM6, telling the story of a boy that wakes up with no memories of his past in a world populated by magical entities. Kodao Sakana’s lovingly hand-drawn visual style is highly expressive and haunting, transporting the player to a place of subtle beauty, melancholy and mystery. The manner in which the game has been presented is made even more unusual as the designers have integrated sentences written in Spanish, one of the characters being directly based on the Mexican myth of La Lorona, the weeping woman. The game is expected to launch this year for Steam and the Nintendo Switch.
