Danbooru will always go by visuals because this is a website dedicated to keeping track of visual depictions rather than a lore wiki. Bridget will always be written as boy until visually depicted as anything other regardless of canon lore status.

What do you mean? We've never tagged Bridget as a girl before Strive, unless it was a confirmed genderswap. Just because people drew her with a girly appearance, which was part of her official design, doesn't mean it wasn't always understood by fans that she was a boy. What, should everyone have been drawing her muscular and manish just because she was canonically male?
The only thing that's even changed is how she identifies, and she probably doesn't care nearly as much as the people constantly complaining about how she's tagged on a random image aggregator website that most of the userbase just uses to find porn.

Bridget was not depicted as a girl until Strive where she declared to be trans. Even then, due to consistency and disregarding of lore, Bridget is tagged as boy.

Danbooru refused to fix a problem that e621 found a super easy fix for years ago with lore tags (both websites still go by "tag what you see" so that's not an excuse). Once again furries being more progressive than weebs lol. I've just decided that Danbooru will never be as good at tagging as some other booru sites and moved on to just looking at Bridget and how cute she is.

People are hating when you are right, the policy is lacking and creates too much confusion. The ability to look up characters by their identity is as negligible to a site's tagging as any other identifier like fantasy races and alternative outfits. E621 has more issues but I look at Philomena and Furbooru and Derpibooru tagging standards as incredible.

Please refresh your memory on Danbooru's stance on tagging Bridget's gender. If it's explicitly stated that she's a trans girl, then it's 1girl. The trans flag seems pretty damn explicit to me.
