That's kind of old school (from the Black Hawk Down reference in the commentary); I don't remember if Aimpoint sights were in service when A1 sights were still used on issued Colt rifles.

It's anachronistic: Operation Gothic Serpent happened in 1993, while the Aimpoint CompM2 wasn't commercially-available until 1995. (Thanks, IMFDB). It's an anachronism the movie makes, though, so it's authentic in a way.
