From human-figure to armor anatomy, the more you know, the better you can imagine the character figure. So my tip is not only to know the outfit and armor, human anatomy is still the mother-of-all basic. However, studying shouldn't be rushed, and fear not failure or mistakes. Gradually build you up by constantly creating new works and ppl would love to see you grow!

To me, I began from drawing warrior girls in realistic armor, but soon I realized that my lack of understanding of human anatomy affected how the armor could depicted. That's one of the reason I started the roller-coaster between armor and nudity; it's all about study , practice, and also sharing.
