Okroshka is like a cold soup eaten in summer. It's kefir (fermented milk drink) or kvass (drink similar to beer) with chopped fresh vegetables, egg, cooked meat, or whatever you've got in the fridge. Would not recommend. Tastes bad to me but my grandpa liked it.

Replace kefir/kvass with good ol' mayo and it's an okay salad, very filling. (You can even heat it up a bit.) High quality meat and the right meat-to-veggies balance are also important.
