blood lake merfolk (extended)

Two blue-skinned mermaids float in a body of pure red liquid, framed by leaves, branches and shoreline weeds. They stare directly at the viewer -- one smiles with an open mouth, displaying sharp teeth, while the other is more reserved. I still really like this piece, and that's why I made it into a print that's available now in my online shop -- to fit the print format, I had to extend the borders of the composition vertically. It'll also work better as a phone background now or as a wallpaper on a vertical monitor.
