    80 years ago, on October 25, 1944, the first attack by kamikaze pilots took place. Five old A6M2s with 250kg bombs found a Taffy 3 carriers off the coast of Leyte. Lt. Yukio Seki, commander of the Shikishima strike group, crashed into the USS St. Lo, which exploded and sank.
