Hubert is a fair-skinned man with black hair. He is standing in front of Bernadetta, holding one of her thighs. Notably, his fingers are all inky black. His free hand is behind Bernadetta, on the altar, bracing his weight. Like her, his eyes are closed and his mouth is open. But where Bernadetta’s expression is a moan, his is caught between a moan and a smile. He is dressed in a white button-up shirt, which has had its sleeves pushed up. Some of its upper buttons are undone. He has only lowered his pants enough for sex, but neither his nor Bernadetta’s genitalia are visible.
The lighting is coming from behind Bernadetta. It is coming through a stained glass window, which is causing multicolored light to reflect on Hubert’s hair and clothing.
