It's funny to see gun boomers on Facebook who hated on Glock and supported the choice of P320 now come to realization that the Glock they hate so much, might in fact have been the better of two options.
My guess it ended up as "We promise to fix it!" and then never went to do it, or only to a limited extent.
Sadly not the first time the US military has been shagged in the back by a weapon manufacturer. I have a book that has a loooong chapter about the M-16 during the Viet-Nam War, and how the departement of Defense was more interested in saving face and preserving appearances than fixing the problem. And yes, it included silencing whistleblowers.
Honestly I don't like soldiers as much as the next guy but to put up with shit like this, they kinda do deserve some little respect.
