A recruitable companion in Fallout: New Vegas. Boone is former NCR sniper of their First Recon regiment. By default, he wears the Merc Grunt Outfit, which consists of a white t-shirt and brown cargo pants, and his signature red 1st Recon Beret. Underneath his beret, he is either bald or has a buzz cut. Befitting his previous career, his weapon is a bolt action sniper rifle.

Boone is a stoic, taciturn man who initially hires the player to investigate and find out who ordered the kidnapping of his dead wife. Though retired, Boone is still fiercely loyal to the NCR, which is only overshadowed by his hatred for Caesar's Legion, as he will declare and engage in hostilities with Legion NPCs no matter what.
