Would a lightsaber work against the kamehameha?

Might be able to block it, but Grievous would still lose in the long run.
Even if only because Cell can fly and he can't.

Look, this is - and I say this as a big fan of General Grievous - basically Cell vs Mr Satan all over again. Grievous shouldn't even be able to touch Cell, whereas Cell could probably win by sneezing at him.

Radically different power scales, basically.

A.) Grievous never demonstrated it, but I wouldn't put it past Grievous to actually have had a Rocket Pack installed in him at some point or other. I mean the technology for personal rocket packs does exist within the Star Wars universe. And Grievous is a cyborg taken to the worst extreme. So he could have that technology.

B.) The only advantage Cell has over Grievous at this point is that he has the Cellular structure of Earth's strongest fighters in him. If it turns out that a Lightsaber can absorb or deflect a kamehameha, which it should be able to do since the Kamehameha is just highly concentrated Chi shot out of the body at a high speed and it has been demonstrated that the Lightsaber can absorb Force Lightning which is basically the same thing... Then it should be possible for Grievous to block Cell's attacks.

Now counterattacking is another matter entirely. Cell can basically grow his limbs back. Fortunately getting DNA from Grievous in order to make Grievous' attacks pointless is kind of a futile effort seeing as how Grievous uses technology and not mystical kungfu in order to attack his enemies. So Grievous does have that going for him. So really it is a matter of whether Cell is able to generate a blast so big that Grievous cannot possibly block the entire blast, or whether Grievous' technological body can simply weather the storm that is Cell.

Now on the other hand, if it were a Jedi or a Sith who were fighting with Cell... things might turn out differently.
