They're probably not as lost as Gambi thinks they are. The fanon consensus seems to have settled on Gambi being insecure and easily flustered, so the fact that she isn't confident she knows where they are doesn't mean they actually are lost.

Well, if they're not going for historical accuracy, which they're probably not, since the M35 didn't come about until 1950, it might not have one. The most common variant was the A2 multifuel, which was a fancy deisel engine variant.
