Blackatoro itsself is on the fringe, but this is obvious. "It's not like skin colour is part of the identity of the character right, lol are you racist or something? They're not real people you know!" All the sublety of tossing a brick through the window. This is exactly why blackwashing pisses so many ppl off.

Whitewashing a black character causes such a shitstorm exactly because "how it sucks to be black in America/the white man's world" is AB-SO-LU-TE-LY crucial to that character's background, identity and motivations. There's never a need to to put this in words, everyone implicitly understands this. But as always, double standards apply. White is the majority(which isn't even true) and the majority is evil(also not true), so fuck em and fuck their feelings.

I don't understand why so few people understand. What kind of poison gets shoved into ppl's heads these days to thinks that not only this is normal, but desirable? Forcibly inserting racial tension where there shouldn't be any doesn't benefit anyone and is disrespectful to the characters themselves because its like saying that their whole identity isn't good enough. Which in turn is disrespectful to the creators of those characters, who themselves are real people, in case that's the only thing that matters to you.

Seems like the artist's getting pedophilia accusations over this series. I think that's a point where "calm down, it's just a drawing" is warranted.

Yeah, it's always like this, at least in fanart zone - you can blackwash any character of any race, sometimes forcing their reasoning and shutting off any criticism with -ist or -phobe, but god forbid when you TRY to whitewash or accidentally using lighter palette or lighting on a dark skin characters (who, sometimes, just a white-skinned characters with tan); It's a blasphemy that warrant Exterminatus!

Political terms aside this one is the artist's OC talking to the audience, this isn't related to the series at all.

How did this even get so many upvotes? There's nothing wrong with the anatomy, and the background is no worse than like 90% of what's already on site. This isn't even borderline quality, it absolutely meets danbooru's standards.

That was already happening before, just as often as it does now. It was just limited to "Why was my comment hidden/downvoted into oblivion?" when it was almost always just one downvote.

Sadly, it also encourages dogpiling. The same thing that ruined Reddit and turned it into a totalitarian shithole.

I am positive that the decision to display the vote totals per comment was one of the worst decisions done by the Danbooru team.
