That's a kill shot. Not nearly killed. With the blood trail, that's a brain hemorrhage and a significant skull fracture. The arms and legs seizing in the position is also a sign of brain damage.
Basically, if she's not stabilized within a handful of minutes, she'll go into a hemorrhagic stroke and this will result in loss of motor function (including speaking and eating) at best. Given that he's walking away, if the nuns don't intervene she'll be dead within the hour.
Not to be mean or anything, her dying right this moment might actually be something of a mercy kill. Considering the environment she's growing up in, the world is not worthy of her time.
