Bridget is still a woman. This is confirmed by Daisuke. It's not a mistranslation, it's not exclusive to a non-canon ending, she is a transgender woman through and through.

You keep using the word 'Retcon' despite no part of her story being declared non-canon
By definition, it was not a retcon, either words mean something or they don't
