Kuno smoothes back his hair and holds a bouquet of roses, smirking down at Akane. Ryoga giggles, grinning nervously at Akane with wide-eyed delight. Mousse grimaces at Ranma, clutching a set of sharp knives between the fingers of one hand, ready to pounce in attack. Gosunkugi grins up at Akane from the grount, pointing a camera at her. Shampoo has leapt into the air above Ranma, smiling cheerfully, arms outstretched for a hug. Ukyo gazes excitedly up at Ranma, offering him an okonomiyaki. Kodachi smirks mischievously, flicking her gymnastics ribbon, which whirls around to surround the whole group in a heart shape.

ALL DONE! It was a fun challenge to arrange so many characters cohesively, both in terms of compositional placement and in terms of color. One of my first thoughts was to simplify matters by giving everyone black hair like in the manga, but I figured expectations would be high for purple(-ish) hair on Shampoo and brown hair on Ukyo, so I made it work. Kodachi and Shampoo’s outfits were originally going to use the 90s anime color scheme, but the colors from the reboot anime wound up making more sense. I’m glad I used them, the combination of all 3 influences (manga + both animes) feels like a real celebration of all things Ranma :)
